It’s like building a foundation for your permanent home!
A solid foundation embedded in firm soil will provide the stability and structure you need for building rooms filled with flow, passion, love, truth, insight and peace for years to come.
When there is an imbalance in your ROOT chakra you may experience mood swings, anxiety disorders, fears, or nightmares.
Physical imbalances can manifest as problems with your immune system; in your colon, with elimination, or with lower back, leg, or feet issues. In men, prostate problems may occur.
Eating disorders may also be a sign of a root chakra imbalance.
Your ROOT chakra grounds you into stability. It is developed from infancy to age 7 years, but I wouldn’t doubt that it goes back as far as in utero.
Your ROOT includes your basic needs like food, water, shelter, and safety, as well as your more emotional needs like having firm boundaries, or the ability to release fear.
When these needs are met, you feel grounded and safe, and you tend to worry less day to day.
How to Balance Your Root Chakra:
Proteins: fish, poultry, meat, legumes
Red Colored Foods (Vitamin C): tomatoes, peppers, papaya, beets, cherries, strawberries, raspberries
Root Vegetables: Please download my “Balsamic Beet Dip” – p.s. I love serving this with oven crisped shiitake mushrooms & fresh basil as a garnish)
Immune Enhancing Foods: ie. wild or medicinal mushrooms (beta-glucan rich – chaga, reishi, cordyceps, lion’s mane, and turkey tail)
Insoluble Fibers (beans, nuts, oats, fruits with skins or berries) to help with elimination and detox
