Histamine, acting as a neurotransmitter in the brain, can influence mood-altering neurotransmitters like GABA, dopamine, and serotonin, potentially intensifying feelings of anxiety and depression.

Our body and brain often seek the path of least resistance, where we feel “safe.” When we want to engage in a new behavior, such as embracing healthier eating patterns, our system often experiences a sense of danger. 

Yet it can eventually construct neural pathways to send signals related to the new behavior. With repetition, this pathway becomes more familiar, offering a sense of security.
